Based in Durtal in Maine et Loire, the Montgolfier pottery was created by Yvon Roy in 1943, then taken over by Robert de Montgolfier in 1957 following his premature and accidental death. It employed up to 100 employees in the 1970s! Still in business today, it has focused on tableware for the catering industry.
