Lounge chair Siesta model, design Ingmar Relling (1920-2002) in 1965. Structure in curved beech plywood, stretched canvas with rope and leather cushion. Structure and canvas in perfect condition, leather cushion with traces of use and patina of time.
Its evocative name "Siesta" (nap in Norwegian) is not misused, the flexibility of the curved wood combined with the stretched canvas and enhanced by the leather and feather cushion ensure extraordinary comfort and ergonomics!
Ingmar Relling, Norwegian, began studying carpentry and sculpture before turning to design. He worked in his brother's factory, then opened his own studio in the 1950s. This armchair was his best-known model, produced continuously since 1965 and having received various design awards.
