Teak and leather chair, model "31" or "Pige", design by Kai Kristiansen (1929- ) in 1957, produced by Shou Andersen Møbelfabrik. This is one of the most popular chair models from this very prolific Danish designer. This chair with its very enveloping back will be perfect as an office seat for example, will fit around a table with mismatched seats or will find its place in a bedroom.
 It is the result of the first collaboration between Kai Kristiansen and the publisher Shou Andersen and was initially sold by Ikéa in a textile version. Subsequently the publisher ended this collaboration with the Swedish brand which was gaining too much momentum in the furniture market and preferred to market it alone. The leather of the backrest shows some signs of use, that of the seat has been refurbished.
